#198 Liberty & Kingston Co. (Ferry at Dog Bluff) 1792-198-01
To the Honourable the Speaker & other members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina. - The Petition of the Inhabitants of Liberty & Kingstown Counties Humbly sheweth that your Petitioners labour under great Inconveniences for the want of the following Roads and a Ferry a Cross the Little Pee Dee River at the plantation of Anthony Sweet known by the name of /Dogg Bluff/ that is to say, one Road to be laid out and kept in repair by the Inhabitants of Kings Town from said Ferry the nearest and best way untill it shall Intersect the oald Road Leading up said River on the E. side, one other Road to be laid out & Kept in repair by the Inhabitants of Liberty County Leading from sd. Ferry untill it shall Intersect the old Road on the w. side of sd. River leading from George Town to Barfield Mills on said River. The granting of the above Request to your Petitioners will in duty bind them Ever to pray.....
